The Shortlisted™ – Terms & Conditions

1.1 Overview
Customers of The Shortlisted™ enter into a contract, which has been written within the sole jurisdiction of the Courts of the United Kingdom. By placing an order with The Shortlisted™, the Customer agrees to
entirely accept the terms and conditions as detailed below. By purchasing either a Career Advice Programme or a CV & Cover Letter Writing service from The Shortlisted™, the customer warrants that they are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and that they are at least 18 years old. The customer understands that their career results are dependent on their actions, and they purchase these services with the understanding that they are fully responsible for creating their personal results.

2.1 CV & Cover Letter Writing service – Definition and liability
This service is exclusively aimed at customers who have already established a clear career path. They must know exactly what job title they are searching for, in which industry and in which country or geographic area. The purpose of the career assessment is to assess the current professional situation, not to provide career orientation or other advice/services such as job interview training, job search techniques or career decision-making tips that have been currently delivered via The Shortlisted’s Therapy for Lost & Confused People™. The Shortlisted™ will decline any request not being strictly related to the career assessment’s purpose. Customers are strongly advised to contact The Shortlisted™ if in doubt whether this service suits their current situation. No refund will be granted if a purchase is made in error. However, if the customer realises they need further career advice before being able to use the CV & Cover Letter Writing service, and they purchase The Shortlisted’s Therapy for Lost & Confused People™ accordingly, their CV & Cover Letter Writing service will be put on hold until a decision is made, but no refund will be granted in any case.

2.2 CV & Cover Letter Writing service – Timescale
The Shortlisted™ aims to provide the full CV and Cover Letter service within
7 working days from the 30-minute Skype career assessment date. Once received their re-written CV and cover letter, the customer will have up to 2 days to decide whether they are satisfied with the result or require further corrections. If the customer doesn’t come back by a written and clear email (see subparagraph 3.2 of this “Terms & Conditions” statement for further details) within 2 days from the day the documents were sent, The Shortlisted™ will assume the order is complete.

2.3 CV & Cover Letter Writing service – Second review
If the customer is not satisfied with the CV and/or the cover letter provided, their documents will be revised free of any further charges for the second time. In this case, the customer must send, within 2 days from receiving their documents, a clearly- written email listing all the corrections they require and how exactly they want such information to appear on their CV and/or cover letter. If the information provided is not clear enough, The Shortlisted™ will require a clarification by email, that the customer will have to provide within that same day. If the clarification is considered understandable by The Shortlisted™, a further email will be sent to the customer confirming that the required corrections will be processed. The Shortlisted™ aims to provide the second review within 3 working days from the day the confirmation email is sent. The Shortlisted™ will refuse to operate any changes if clear, precise and understandable information is not provided within the terms outlined above. In such a case, The Shortlisted™ will assume that the order is complete and will decline any further liability. No refunds requests will be processed in any case, and no further review will be offered at the price of the CV & Cover Letter Writing service, after the second review will be delivered.

2.4 CV & Cover Letter Writing service – Corrections accepted
The Shortlisted™ accepts to make corrections on keywords, industry terminology, task description
s, personal statements and personal details, as well as on the general appearance of CVs. This includes font, colours and size but excludes layout design: the layout provided is the most popular in the UK, the U.S. and Europe, and cannot be modified. No Europass CV will be provided.
No correction going against the strategy agreed over the 30-minute Skype career assessment will be provided either. The customer who changes their mind after the Skype career assessment won’t be able to get a structural change of their CV but will be able to sign up for a new CV & Cover Letter Writing service. No discount can be expected in these cases.

2.5 CV & Cover Letter Writing service – Skype career assessment – Rules
The Shortlisted™  aims to provide at least one available slot over business hours (9 AM to 6 PM GMT) for the Skype career assessment withi
n 5 working days from the date the order is placed. Exceptionally, the assessment can be carried out in the late evening, on working days only. If a customer requires an assessment over the weekend, they should write to customers@the-shortlisted.co.uk.
No assessment will be offered over bank holidays.
The Shortlisted™  will do all her best to meet customers’ needs and be flexible around the slots offered. However, if a customer misses an assessment previously agreed without giving at least 48 hours’ notice in written, they may be asked to wait up to 7 working days for another available slot.
The Skype career assessment will last 30 minutes. The conversation must remain focused on the sole purpose of the CV and Cover Letter writing. The outcome of the Skype career assessment will be an agreed strategy for the CV re-writing.
Shortly after the Skype career assessment, the customer will receive an email outlining the strategy jointly agreed for the subsequent CV re-writing.

As
a part of an on-going commitment to customer satisfaction, The Shortlisted™ guarantees to revise all the CVs for the second time, after the original documents are provided (see subparagraph 3.2 of this “Terms & Conditions” statement).
This guarantee relates directly to the documents (CV and Cover Letter) produced for the customer based on what agreed over the 30-minute Skype career assessment, and won’t apply to any corrections required which are not in line with what previously agreed over such career assessment.
